... in Epernay which is the capital of the Champagne district so off we headed, it is only an hour and 25 minute drive from Touquin, just a short stint, we got there and pulled into the camping place to find that it was closed, bugger. Today we had to move on, the rain was going to be about all day so it was a good day to get some driving done. Also, we were going to be met by Tim and Jeni who have popped to France for the Easter break and we had picked a spot in the Champagne region pretty much at random. ... taxi picked us up so we went to 'Les Halles' the produce market - cheese, fruit, patisserie, meat etc We did a little more wondering around the town and some shopping then headed back to the hotel to wait for the taxi. The TGV was super crowded. We had booked seats but there was no room for luggage. We had to lift them into the over head racks and then battle them out again 3 hours later at Marne-la-vallee. We caught the Disney shuttle to the New York Hotel, checked in ...
