It has poured with rain all night, still pouring down this morning. The only upside is, it is not cold! There is no sign of this clearing anytime soon.
Just as well we plan to leave today!
... the green veg that accompanied it were excellent. I don't think Florentines would appreciate the naming of the dish after their city, it most certainly is not a Firenze dish! The highlight was the dessert, Nuttella and Mascarpone Pizza. This is a common dessert in pizzerie in Italy, and whilst this was not on a par with those, it was good. I had to add salt myself (it works a bit like salted caramel), and received odd glances from le Frenchies nearby for doing so, but ...
... He tells me I can put up my tent anywhere and charges me ten euro. I pretend that I didn't understand him and give him six euro. No he says, it's ten euro. Again, I pretend that I don't understand and he leaves it at that. It's not a bad campsite I guess, but at this moment it's more like a construction sight and it takes forever to get warm water in the shower. Well, I've got a place to sleep ...
... It will suit us nicely and will be very refreshing as we are all so tired after London that melt down is always close at hand.
Trek through the park in the rain, grateful that we have umbrellas and raincoats that we packed for London and never used there. So we are better off then many. Will just get our bearings today and reach rough all the brochures and daily programmes etc as we set up to enjoy the park.
Is it time for the magic, yet?
... we finally find someone who can tell us where to go...the signage in this country sucks. And our luggage is too big, we've already decided we are buying smaller luggage for Christmas presents to ourselves. The train ride sucks, it's crowded and we have too much stuff, but Heather has lost her patience for rude French people and doesn't care how many dirty looks she gets, she's firing them right back!
Its 10:40 by the time we get off ...
