Saturday morning we rode into Soissons to explore the town. The church in town had a banner flying indicating they were to celebrate their 1700th birthday,.. It was dated from the year 314,.. we are talking seriously old! The week-end markets were in full swing and the locals flocking there for week-end provisions. After our first farm visit, we crossed the border into France. Dr. Karcher literally stood up, said we're in France, and said we had to be back on the bus in five minutes. We drove through a very small town, and stopped at the church. We jumped out of the bus, tried spelling France, and I took a lot of pictures of the church, which was beautiful.

We're to leave with the ferry to Dover at 12:00 noon......at least we thought so. Everything is ready.....we thought. Just hop on the ferry and over to Dover we go.....that was the initial plan, but then we ran into trouble: There was an evil witch at the counter of the ferry office just looking for her next victims to add to her long list of casualties!
