We started our second day in Beaune with a lovely breakfast before going to the Fallot Moutaderie - the mustard factory. At the factory, Ben saw a stone mustard grinder for crushing mustard seeds. Next we got to make our own mustard by crushing mustard seeds with salt and verjus (which Ben thought smelt like vinegar) in a mortar and pestle. We sat and read for 2 hrs before white muscadet, rice veg and fish and bed at dusk. Coldish night, just warm ...

... right in the centre of Beaune. The shower is big enough for three people and after the small one in PIP it will be fully utilised. Just realised that sounds as though there will be three people in there but we are not into that scene!
Beaune is a lovely old town with loads of posy restaurants and shops. Being in the middle of Burgundy wine country, there are load of shops selling really pricy wines as well. ...
