    ... luggage on except this time the luggage store was too small so a good number of the bags had to go in the bus. The bus was also a little worse for wear. As we drove to our accommodation, Rossi Hotel, Aysa gave us a guided tour of St Petersburgh which took a couple of hours. We saw church's, palaces and bridges. There was lots of gold leaf everywhere too. Turns out St Petersburg is actually a city the covers about 50 islands so ...

    ... with loads of time to spare but needed to check it out. There is the biggest hotel attached to the station - think we might stay there next time we visit???? Then we wandered around like lost tourists with our suitcases until a nice young information man told us about the big screen near the station that was screening the tennis! Great stuff! Lots of people and we got to see some tennis before we had to leave! ...

    ... with no reason, do not make eye contact, do not talk very loudly to your neighbor, do not eat hot food. Then there are the unspoken rules for tourists: Do not speak English very loudly, do not leave your purse open, do not take your eyes off the purse. One may think that these rules make the metro a forbidding, or at least an unfriendly place, but the strict etiquette that is expected is a sign that people really have respect for one another.
