This morning we decided to check out the Village Suisse. It wasn't a village and it wasn't Swiss. It was a group of small antique shops grouped together in a sort of mall. It wasn't very far from our apartment so we walked over to check it out. Although there were many nice items displayed, they were all way above our budget. The only thing we could afford was lunch. After we ate, we went back to the apartment for awhile.

Maybe this garnered a laugh either because of the gesture or the pitiful amount of change; we'll ...

... of us decided the goats cheese just looked too good and it was, fabulous and a glass of Sancerre, a perfect match. Dessert was unusual, in that it was chocolate and we had been served the 2001 Sudairaut. The dessert was fabulous and the wine was fabulous but the two didn't go together. Petit fours rounded the evening, and us off!! Well,it's now 7am and I have been awake since 4 GRRRRR can't get up as Georgie is on the sofa bed Not sure what well do today so until then ....... ...

... to Versailles. We'd promised ourselves a nice afternoon tea, so after dropping our gear off at the hotel, we wandered down the road to the patisserie we'd scouted out and bought ourselves a couple of fabulous pastries. We then bought ourselves a coffee each, and after deciding that it would be very rude for us to eat our patisserie-bought cakes at the coffee place, we sat down on a park bench and ate our pastries there. It's a tiny park, at the edge of the ...
