    took the Brittany ferry overnight from Cork, Ireland overnight to Roscoff, France . Fascinating seaside town . Gothic architecture early 16th century. Rainy day but we didn't mind it. Tonight we are in Saint Carreuc

    ... IKEA on our holidays! We arrived at Ploumanac'h at around 1pm. It is a very charming seaside town that reminded John very much of the Cornish towns that he used to visit as a child. It was also nice and quiet as we are visiting off-season, with the French having different half term dates.     ... the swimming pool - which, rather like the rest of the hotel, was just as we remembered it from 14 years ago.

    On Thursday night we ate at the hotel, and had a fantastic meal in the lovely, light restaurant.
