... bicycles. However we've had enough of the bikes for today, so we have set off on foot. Well we explored MONTBELIARD, and it didn't really take very long; nice parks, nice shopping area, an old chateau, and some nice boats moored at the harbour, but that's about all. John thinks that this would be like going to Wendouree for a holiday. Still, we are really just in transit, and not every town we stop at is going to be great. We have liked most places, with DIGOIN and this ...

As we didn't have a big ride today, we stopped and had a little snooze in a pretty spot by the canal. Lachlan and Victoria build us up to a fever pitch of excitement as they promise us a surprise along the way! We approach a tunnel, and see a cute array of flashing ...

... getting quite warm in the boat. The river water is beautiful, and it's very refreshing. Lachlan is getting a little worried as the cyclists have not returned. We are off as soon as they are back, and then head on a little way before free camping for the night. The rain starts just as moor, so we are glad to be settled for the night. It's a lovely treed spot, no one else in sight. So tonight we have champagne ...

... the activities of the Resistance, etc. and the displays include a copy of Mein Kempf and all kinds of items with the Nazi Party insignia on them. Among them were dishes and a dish towel with Adolf Hitler's name on it, like one you would pick up from a place you were visiting, and little craft projects that people worked on in the camps. Although the exhibit descriptions are in a French, it was ...
