    Off to Namur-- with different preparation!

    ... charts in different countries. Once I got comfortable with that I was able to get some sleep. We set off at about 10.15am and made our way with out problem to Namur by about 3:00pm. After rebirthing a second time because the power cord was too short (that is, the power box was too far away!) I went to see the capitainere who enquired if I would like fuel delivered to the boat?     ... Here we buy some supplies at Carrefours for a picnic lunch, checking out the lovely chateau opposite. I notice some rowers on the river and talk to a fellow from the Royal Club Nautique Sambre et Meuse, which comprised rowing, sailing and tennis!     We left Liege this morning at 10:30 and made excellent time through two locks and 35 km to Huy. On the way the beautiful Belgian scenery was spoiled by derelict industrial facilities beside the river-- very unimpressive for about 20km of the whole trip.     ... as we catch the crowds on the hill, and have a commanding view of the bikes coming along the Meuse river, and going over the Pont des Jambes. It's a warm day, so Pete grabs us a Namur Blanche award winning beer each, and we watch the breakaway group of 4 dashing by, followed several minutes later but the peloton climbing the 'Route Merveilleuse' as the road up to the Citadelle of Namur is known.
