    ... the buildings deteriorated so it has been renovated. There was written information as well as video footage of 're-enactments' of relevant parts of the history of the family and the historical battles fought.

    ... as big as a poached eggs absolutely delicious, crisp crunchy baguette, prawns, and some kind of sea snail that is very tough and chewy with a very strange taste.     ... palm trees, roses and apparently Charlotte tells us there is a tame crane, but we never see it. The property which is quite extensive was a nursery until Charlottes husband passed away five years ago. There are 2 gites and the main residence. Charlotte is absolutely delightful and so helpful. She gives us impromptu lessons in French.

    ... research and a few conversations with Meg and Edouard we decided to head further west to explore the coastline of Brittany and Normandy. So the next day we said our goodbyes (which I'll admit might have included a few tears on my behalf) and we hit the road again for our next adventure.     ... have played dodgem cars! Yes, the walnuts were on a monorail, but if you pedalled fast enough you could come up behind the person in front and give them a gentle nudge. les wouldn't let me do that to the people in front of us though - sadly, they kept stopping to look at the view and Les kept making me slow down.
