... ago, but didn't get to Utah Beach as it is separate from the others.
We had a lovely journey northwards and as the day went on the weather improved.

... and hotter, and by the evening we had the usual thunderstorm. we had also found out that the forecast was for rain for the next few days.
The rain let up enough for us to go for a walk in the evening, but then started again and was still pouring down when we went to bed.
When we arrived at La Fleche we settled in and went for a nice stroll by the river after dinner.
There were lots of British vintage TR4's, MG's and other sports cars at the campsite. - some carefully loaded in enclosed trailers.
It is quite near to Le Mans and they go there for track days.
... to make an early start as we have all been enjoying the slow mornings. For the afternoon Ray & I went into Durtal again, this time to visit the chateau and have a walk along the Loire River. Of course we arrive again as all the shops shut for lunch, but we don't mind as we walked the tourist tracks, passing some historical sites, and crossing back and forth along the river. We watched men in their dinghies fishing, dogs chasing sticks and just marvelled ...
... not happening!). So we went back to the van, not at all surprised that there would be a drama of some sort as usual. It was good to be free to be on the move again. We found a big Auchan hypermarket on the outskirts of town that was very busy. We stopped by a lake in a little village called La Ferte Beauharnais that was very pleasant. Still in the central region south of ParIs, we drove through lots of wooded countryside to Aubigne sur Neve. We stopped at an Aire on the outskirts ...
