... t locked in any plans for the next week of this trip. We had the choice to go to Spain to see our dear friends 'The Millars' or to make our way up to Paris through the Loire Valley.
We talked through the options. Spain meant two long days in the car, to stay in France meant less time in the car and more time exploring old villages in France. We decided to vote in the morning.

We had a nice night in Arles, and took a short walk around the Roman amphitheater, which is one of the highlights of the ruins that exist in Arles. The amphitheater was closed for several days, though, for a big concert. The ruins are pretty well preserved, and would be a great place to attend a concert, however, we weren’t there on the right day.
