      March 31st set off from John& Claire's arrived Newhaven 5pm parked in docks found that there is a 4 hour delay due to the gales on Monday night so will stay in Dieppe Wednesday night. Went on to Oissel staying right by the river Seine for 2 nights to unwind quiet pitch just 2 vans moved ...

      The first part of my trip took me to Amboise, nestled in the Loire Valley. The drive reminded my of The Netherlands, it was so flat and green, you could see for miles around. Covered in beautiful Chateaux's with acres of vineyards the valley is a special place.

      The day I spent in Blois I went to the Royal Château of Blois. This castle is particularly impressive because of how it was built over a period of time. You can clearly see the different influences of the gothic, flamboyant, renaissance and classicism periods and styles in its construction. I was really wanting to visit the Maison de la Magie (House of Magic) however it was closed until the 4th April. So instead I went to the Museum ...

      ... different buildings have been placed around a central courtyard and roughly joined at the corners!!

      For something different we went to a museum dedicated to magic and Harry Hudini and enjoyed a live magic show. We also sort refuge from the rain in the cathedral to find an organist practicing, this was a wonderful treat.

      Next the drive to Amboise, Everyone seems to think its amazing me doing this on my own, but today I met a young couple with bicycles and trailers travelling with 3 toddlers and a tent they had come from the south of France and were planning to cycle to Austria WOW!

      Visited the lovely home of Leonardo De Vinci, I loved it here and enjoyed seeing the gardens which had a number models of his inventions ...
