This morning we said goodbye to our beautiful Castle hideaway & hit the Autostrada. First stop was Vicolungo The Style Outlet Shopping Mall to spend the last of those pesky Euro's! Then we thought we would just have a drive around the villages in Lombardy around the lake Lago Maggiore. It was just beautiful. Especially the village if Angera. I could ...

... our train didn't leave for Lucerne until mid-afternoon so we ditched our bags at the train station and wandered about for several hours until it was time to leave. This day was rather sunny and warm.

Pescatori is supposed to be the most picturesque of locations and it is the island where residents have maintained their original fishing way of life. Though we saw some evidence of it being a fishing village, the main attraction seemed to be the narrow, cobbled streets and ...

3rd June. Today we are making our way to Siena for a couple of days before making our way to Rome. We arrived at about 10:30 and quickly set up. This site is a lot different from the Florence one as it is literally in the middle of nowhere and about 11 kilometres from Siena and surrounded by trees so all you hear is birdsong. We have planned to do very little today as we did have a hectic time in Florence, together with the fact there was a disco open into the early hours just up ...
