... the hill. Unfortunately visibility even worse today so after the effort of making our way up the hill we could not even see the water. Great villa's though.
Fast boat back, ferry home and we enter our warm apartment at approx 7pm, in time to cook dinner.
Como, well it is not what we expected, much more suburban. However, glad we came to experience and see how those with lots of money actually holiday.
Moving on to Turin tomorrow, stay ...

We arrived in this beautiful city at dusk so we weren't able to get the most out of it. Stayed there only for one hour and we spent that time in Parco Civico capturing the flickering lights of the city surrounded by mountains. The view from the shores of Lake Lugano was fascinating. ... of other people in the same situation at the customer service counter to see if our tickets were still valid. Thankfully they were and we were able to catch the next train bound for Como, leaving exactly one hour later than the one we missed. We raced to the platform and boarded the train. It was chock a block full. Clearly a lot of people missed the earlier train. When we arrived at Como San Giovanni station, we jumped in a cab to Hotel Orso Bruno ...

3rd June. Today we are making our way to Siena for a couple of days before making our way to Rome. We arrived at about 10:30 and quickly set up. This site is a lot different from the Florence one as it is literally in the middle of nowhere and about 11 kilometres from Siena and surrounded by trees so all you hear is birdsong. We have planned to do very little today as we did have a hectic time in Florence, together with the fact there was a disco open into the early hours just up ...
