Well, today turned out to be an "extra" day. I'm glad I had it. It gave me a chance to just walk around without so much of an agenda or plan. I like to wander and sort of get myself lost, although, this city's too easy to navigate to get too lost.

Boy was today frustrating. I had planned to rent a car, had, in fact, reserved one. But some day on this whole journey was bound to get messed up, and this one was. No one was at the rental agency when I got there, and by the time they could have been there to get me on my way, it would have been too late for me to do what I had planned and …

We still had a few hours to spend in Thessaloniki so we walked along the promenade. At 12.30 we got on the board of one of these boats where you can have a drink while they take you for a short ride (about 30 minutes). Basically it is something like a floating bar. We ordered beer and popsicle (since they ran out of sangria) and enjoyed like one hour there.
