The third day we headed into Bordeaux. It was so hot, about 37 degrees, but such a beautiful city. We were going to do the 70 minute bus or 60 minute guided train around the city but found a map and decided to do our own tour with Jim reading the map and me taking the photos, perfect.

We are in a camp ground under big old pine trees looking out over the Atlantic Ocean and para gliders everywhere were swooping back and forth catching the thermal uplifts. ... as we like AirTransat, their actual handling of bike--or perhaps more accurately, the airport baggage handlers--has never impressed us.
It was barely 10am despite all that we'd done so far. Rooms were being prepared but still not ready (although expected by noon) so we hung out and tried to stay awake (some failed) in the lobby, connecte to the hotel's wi-fi.

It's a really lovely Town, very chic and bustling. I've got here on a Sunday which means all the locals are strutting their stuff. It's blooming hot and I've taken refuge in this bar, hence the impromptu entry. Now It seems probable that I can get wifi in most bars I should be ...
