      ... place to kayak is at Lac de Castillon or more specifically "shack du lac", another 20-30 minutes further.  To actually visit the gorge we'd have to park on one of the roads we passed 30 minutes back and hike 5 hours down to the gorge.  The decision to continue 30 minutes to the lake was easy after that.   3 hours after we'd left Lourmarin we found the shack, a restaurant which proudly ...

      ... side and went for a swim and only saw four people for the first hour then a family came along so we left. The dams now regulate the floods of Verdon and is now a haven for water sports and fishing . The water lovely and refreshing and very cooling after sunbathing in 30degrees of sunshine.
