    ... place to kayak is at Lac de Castillon or more specifically "shack du lac", another 20-30 minutes further.  To actually visit the gorge we'd have to park on one of the roads we passed 30 minutes back and hike 5 hours down to the gorge.  The decision to continue 30 minutes to the lake was easy after that.   3 hours after we'd left Lourmarin we found the shack, a restaurant which proudly ...

The dams now regulate the floods of Verdon and is now a haven for water sports and fishing . The water lovely and refreshing and very cooling after sunbathing in 30degrees of sunshine.     ... in paddleboats and kayaks. We went to a restaurant where Samuel and Dad ordered 12 snails. I had one that was cooked in garlic and it was really chewy! When we got to Italy we went to an interesting restaurant for dinner and I ordered something that had fish in it. It turned out to have a mixture of fish heads, fish spines, calamari, baby squid, sardines, octopus and some other strange looking things! BYE! ...
