... dates to the campfire for a brief history of the United Arab Emirates. (Point of clarification....that would be FRESH dates picked from native trees that were taken to the campfire. This should squash any smart ass comments tomorrow on our blog regarding the 'dates' we picked up for the campfire.)

... the weather, we met some of Lach's dad's relatives who live a couple of hours out of Mumbai. His great aunt Silva and her husband were very happy to meet him and we had a nice dinner together. After a short wait and a long look at the artwork around the airport we finally got on the plane. To my pleasure I got two seats (Window and Isle) to myself. We had no crying babies or children of any kind. I then proceeded to relax for the next 6 ½ hours on the way to Singapore. I was able to watch 3 ¼ movies and take a short nap. ... try our hand at sand boarding before settling in for a local meal watching the sun set in dramatic Hollywood fashion and seeing the stars come out bright and clear. There was some post dinner entertainment with henna painting for the girls (and the one guy who decided afterwards that it was not a good look), and a belly dancer who got everyone up to join and rounded off a good safari before heading back to the city for bed.
