Strangely enough here they tell us that they are "sorry you can't park somewhere", while in Dubai they step out of the dark just to pronounce the few words of English security is able "Not allowed".       After a wonderful breakfast of kiribath (a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast dish) cooked by Asoka, we packed a small bag and headed off to Abu Dhabi. Asoka insisted we take his car, not sure if that was a good idea as I almost had a nervous breakdown trying to direct Frank the last few kilometres to the hotel. Every time we took an exit from the freeway, it just led us to another one! I'm not sure how, but we got there in the end.

      After sitting in Riyadh Airport for nearly 3 hours (boards still said flight was on time and leaving at 0400 btw) we arrived in Abu Dhabi with just minutes to spare and ran directly for the departure gate. It seriously looked like Miami Vice, and it was unbelievable to see how fast and aggressive Janet was, lol. I swear if there was an old lady on the stairs in front of her, she would have pushed her down the stairs to make way, lmao.
