    ... in south of France, it's 30 degrees. We caught a shuttle to the township.
    The buildings are very French! Its gorgeous. We have found a nice air conditioned shopping centre and had a fun time.
    Katie had an early morning swim and had the pool to herself!
    so far so good.

    ... welcome sight, I got in and cooled off. Dinner was just a simple buffet they had set up, then early to bed after a few wines and some Cointreau. Did not see anything of Marseilles itself except very dry wasteland and pretty weeds.

    ... were already rolling though. We walked to the finish line and it was very busy. We had been spoilt with access in Corsica and were now exposed to the TdF in all its mayhem and madness.

    We found a spot were we could get a glimpse of the riders as they came through and, more importantly, watch the big screen. Every second word related to the Aussies. Great atmosphere.

    ... quickly went in for a swim. We also noticed a relatively high number of great looking women around us, which was a great plus. After a few swims and snoozes' it was 230pm and we decided to head back to the van and have some lunch then head on down toward Toulon, about 70km away.     Well this city surprised the hell out of us! We didn't really know what to expect when we set off this morning; it was cold and windy, and we wanted to take a boat over to the famed Chateau d'If. Despite the cloudless blue sky, there was a sign at the port saying there would be no landings at Chateau d'If due to poor weather, but they were still running ferries to an island called Frioul (turns out there were extremely high winds and big waves).
