... Chateau de Chenonceau. This one was Mummy's favourite. It looked like the Disneyland castle! After walking through a beautiful grove, Ben noticed 2 statutes that looked Egyptian. As well as having a castle that was beautiful (home to 5 French Queens), it had excellent gardens with beautiful fountains. Ben and Jon had fun running through the gardens. We were under no illusions when we started that things might not always go our way. The campsite is a bit of a letdown and the bugs are bugging us. We are going to move on early tomorrow to the north coast. Bread, cheese and saucisson for ...

... they got planning permission! Came back via the Super U. Cooked goats cheese wrapped in pancetta drizzled with olive oil and honey on a bruschetta.. Went for a swim and then read my book for a couple of hours in the sun. It's a hard life! Reading in Daily Mail on line about trouble at Calais. I hope that it will be sorted by next week. We are booked in at a campsite for the last few days at Sangatte. It was cheap but got very good reviews on Somalian ...
