Today we left Die and arrived at Castellane at a campsite called Le Lavant. The route that we followed was actually part of the Tour De France route! Saturday June 15 Drive from Valfrejus to St Andre Les Alpes Picture-perfect on awaking in Valfrejus. Time to check out the route down to Provence. We are heading south towards St Andre Les Alpes. As we descend from Valfrejus we observe a fort on the other side of the valley. Makes sense because the topography of the area would declare this site to be strategically important. ... returned to the caravan empty- handed (except a 6cm tiddler) so hope we catch more in Paros in Greece. We invented a new (but ineffective) fishing technique where Dad ran half of the line around the pond and I had the fishing rod. When we spotted a fish we dropped it on them!
