Day 8 was the ride from Greoux-Le-Bains to Moustiers Ste. Marie. A group of us took the somewhat shorter and less hilly route which still managed to be 58 km. ... out of town was straight up the mountain. One of several for the day. The mountains here are called "Cols" and we've already cracked a couple in the few rides we've done. It is a slow, steady climb up the mountain which is nice as it gives you a chance you look around and admire the magnificent views of the ranges. Saturday June 15 Drive from Valfrejus to St Andre Les Alpes Picture-perfect on awaking in Valfrejus. Time to check out the route down to Provence. We are heading south towards St Andre Les Alpes. As we descend from Valfrejus we observe a fort on the other side of the valley. Makes sense because the topography of the area would declare this site to be strategically important.
