... another delay, plane ready for take off 20 min late. Virgin America is cool comfortable plane. Leather seats and pink/blue lights. Wow what a lonnnnng day! Its 4am in a Belgium, and we were up at 6am.. Look forward to shower & bed, no dinner just musli bar, nothing good in the airport. 8pm and arrive in Vegas airport at sunset :) we were so shattered ethat just went straight to bed at 930, although had been awake most of 24 hours!!! ... in Amsterdam this would happen! We got back on our bikes and rode back to the bike hire, walked back into the hostel exhausted! Roughly we rode between 40-45km, safe to say we will have sore bums tomorrow! The four of us decided that we should top off our day by going out to dinner, we found a really nice place around the corner which has all pastas/pizzas for €5 and they were amazing (even if it's not traditional, it's actually really hard to find traditional food ...

... and it turned out the lady from Bristol was a Vice Chairman of her local NAFAS flower arranging club and would be visiting Dublin for the WAFA show.

This evenings entertainment was by a Virtuoso Flautist - Suzanne Godfrey. We had heard her practicing earlier in the day, the sound was beautiful then and during her performance which featured Mancini movies as part of her repertoire was quite spell binding.
Tomorrow we are At Sea En route to Bergen.

Amsterdam - wet day

... Belgium and The Netherlands we noted that the roads in Belgium and the Netherlands were far better than in france. Also the highway was truck city - as bad as the old Hume highway with wall to wall trucks in both directions. As the roads were two/three lanes and divided there was no problems apart from the rain which lasted the whole trip north so visibility was limited.
