... me and to leave the shop. To my surprise he did as he was told.

Marseille is a nice city, with the majority of people being very polite and considerate. Its not as fast paced as some of the big cities, which makes it a lot nicer to walk the streets.

Next stop is Lyon, a 4.5 hour bus ride for a huge sum of $5. Even includes wifi and on-board toilets.

... we enjoyed our last lunch in the dining room then reluctantly packed our bags & disembarked. Caught a taxi to out hotel, the gorgeous historic Intercontinental Marseille Hotel Dieu. Our amazing executive room had a large undercover terrace with a panoramic view over the Old Port.

Went for a long walk around the harbour, stopped for a drink to enjoy the sunset over the port, then ordered a dinner of mussels before walking back uphill to our ...

The warm and sunny day closed with a stunning sunset.

Although only a one night stay, it was great to let out a sigh, breathe slowly, and enjoy this space to reflect on the trip so far.

Sanary revealed one last surprise on our departure. A quirky little town with a brilliant food market and pastries to die for.

Ah Sanary....you were short but sweet.

          Montpellier awaits.

Jane ended up buying some clothes for Marcus - first we bought some trousers, walked around a bit and then returned to the same stall to buy a top. Obviously a while later we had to go back there to also buy a T-shirt for Amy. Jane got the sandals she always wanted (seeing that she only saw them here it cannot have been "always") and I got the occasional kiss. Drove home; ...

... This place is a mecca to snorkelling and diving, wonderful. However the water was cold and we wished we had brought our wetsuits. The cold did not stop the intrepid Edwards family and we all (ie Henri included) had lots of swims. Here we met Bill and Jude a lovely couple with a brand new Autotrail Tracker, lovely beast - much better than our Apache. We went on the ferry to Porquerolles , walked a lot of the coastal path and went cycling with Henry in his chariot which ...
