    ... but it’s closed - it looks unsafe. The new Cathedral is impressive and has lovely floors and mosaics - it’s not as ornate as the basilica on the hill, which we preferred! We found a chapel dedicated to Eugene de Mazenod who was born in nearby Aix-en-Provence - he founded the religious order which runs many schools, including Mazenod College in Perth.

    ... The starters were cold soup with gazpacho (Marcus and me) as well as a courgette quiche (the rest). I actually preferred the quiche. The main courses were either fish of the day or lamb and we all had the latter.
