... found a small cafe on the water which was Italian so of course we stopped and Dennis ordered a pizza Quatro formaggio. It was quite good. We will leave for Genoa this afternoon. It will be about a 2 hour drive but first we must subdue our French GPS. It will be interesting. I am leaning a lot of French quickly. It is a matter of survival. I will be glad when we get to Italy and I can just speak with my hands!

It's not as interesting after you leave the French Riviera but nevertheless a pleasant ride. The best part is when you cross the border between France and Spain at Perpignan on France side and 40 mins later when ...

... permutations of this until the thumping, awful bar music drives me from the computer (and makes me contemplate shortening my stay here even further). I defer the decision til tomorrow, when I'll be able to train-hop the area and determine if I want to leave here Wednesday or Thursday (already shorter than my booking til Saturday, but 24 hour cancellation policy useful). I've determined that it's the small towns around Nice (and Nice's building's feel) that interest me mainly ...

Today was a great day ~ we started off by taking Cade to the beach, while Mom and Dad shopped and walked around. We rented an umbrella and chairs on the beach ~ Cade met a nice 4 year old boy Noah and I chatted with his mother, a graphic artist from Germany. Then we met up with Mom and Dad for a late lunch. Afterwards, Philippe took us to a lovely art gallery village called Mougins. ...
