    The grotto was beautiful. The rock walls were freezing to the touch. But there was a sense of tranquility as we sat and prayed. Cherry and I walked the mountain to see the Stations of the Cross and drank the Holy Water from the Grotto. There were lots of people waiting to go into the baths but you weren't allowed to watch.     So we arrived in the little town of Saint Jean Piere de Port, the classic start for many people of the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. The last long day was over. We were a little worried about Dave and how he would have been feeling on the last climb but he rolled in about twenty minutes after us.
