Forgetting about doing our laundry, a usual task for a 2 day stop, upon Madame's recommendation, we rode to the next village and enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch on the banks of the Soane while heeding her frantic advise to not order the "pouchose" a bottom feeder fish "because it tastes like mud!"

After a little bit of struggle John got the cover back into position and tightened it up only with his fingers. ... empty the “salad bowl” i.e. raw water intake catchment just the once. We had a stop for a quick lunch but otherwise just a pleasant sail. We saw lots of things we didn't see on the way up for example a wayside shrine built into the rock on which a church stood.
