Today we went and had a look at the big lion that Belfort is famous for.It is a big statue that you can't see from a distance because it blends in with the face of the hill it fronts, unless you know it is there. It is made by Frederic-Auguste Bartholdi who is famous for erecting the Statue of Liberty and commemorates The French who defended Belfort in the Franco-Prussian War. I spent a nice day with Daniel. He took me to have a look at the castle that overlooks the town, it is made from a kind of red rock whiwh comes from a nearby mountain.
He also drove me up to the top of one of the mountains where we walked to the top of another hill to take a look at a statue commemorating Jean 'D Arc. So here I am sitting at Jen,s watching Paul and the boys swim and loving every minute of it! This was automatically more relaxing, although Naveed won,t let me nap, he does offer an awesome cuddle.

... room. i had planned this part of my trip around being in zurich so that i could see the show and had been in contact with francoiz before hand so i was able to get in on the guest list. it was absolute ecstasy to be there, unfortunately i had to bail as soon as it finished to catch the last train back to zurich, but one of the best nights in my life. it didnt take long to find a ride back to the next down where the rail line began again.
