... the corner and spoke to a Tourist Information guy he said that he may be able to speak to the conductor... Which he did indeed do! And low and behold; the train was going to wait for him!! I explained he was only three stops away on the tube and they agreed! I could not believe it! So I told Geo to ruuuuuuun!!! The local market, Otop, is filled with goodies ranging from tshirt, shoes, DVD's and souvenirs. Dotted amongst the stalls are many open air bars, selling lovely cold singha beer. After one particular day walking for an hour in the heat, we stopped at our favourite bar (the Monkey Bar) to enjoy a cold beer. We started the day with a short drive on the back of a ute to the hills behind the resort. The boys experienced an elephant trek that took in great views of the beaches below. Then it was back to the hotel and a swim and a bite to eat and then to the Phuket Zoo and Monkey, Elephant and Crocodile shows. The evening was spent in Patong, with dinner on the beach and some more market shopping.
