... up children from school because they work. Should mention that the kids usually have a 2 hour lunch hour on school days, which also helps the teachers with school prep. So, interesting situation. NOt sure how it would go down at home - 4 days a week until 4.45pm. NOt sure who would complain first - the kids for being at school so long, or the teachers for also having to be there that long!

... to bombing around London, taking in all the sights - even though i've seen them at least 7 times before!!

Now what have I been up to recently? Well, first of all, I'd like to say that my favourite French words are alors and d'accord. Still not totally sure what their actual meaning is, but they are used so much and when the French say them, it sounds beautiful. Especially d'accord! It actually means something along the lines of agreement. ...

... translated was "I need to fix my car but I can't afford it". According to the teacher, that was wrong because it implies that we are going to fix the car which doesn't make sense when one says one can't afford it. Neither Sally nor I were willing to argue with him, but we thought he was wrong, because that's what we would say - it's implied in the sentence that someone else is going to do it. I guess the teachers have to teach correct English ...

Was a late start for us as we pottered around, in no great hurry! And eventually got to the lovely Angers. Was a really beautiful and imposing Castle/Fortress in the centre of town and gorgeous winding streets with pretty little shops! Dan is loving behind the Camera and we are playing all sorts of games with Ella to keep her interested! Although she does often say she misses her cousin George. We hope we can find some children soon to enjoy her time ...

A (not so) Ordinary Drive Day

... for being liberated, quite amazing to see and makes you see war in a different light.
We took a long ol drive today, heading to the Loire Valley and we thank Grandma for the Loaning of the portable DVD player!!! We can drive in peace, looking out to the sights around, so many pretty villages and once again took the minor roads (a motorway is just a motorway!).
Stopped for lunch in a lovely spot, Domfront where ...
