It's dry but its grey today. So it's tea indoors, before we drive to Brissac-Quincé. As we have found everywhere this September, the market is much smaller than our last visit. It didn't take us long to walk round, we were looking for sausages to take home as presents. They have been on all the other markets we've been to, but not this one! ... which was part of the old hospital so we decided to visit the. Well worth the visit as it showed how people were treated long ago. The apothecary itself had a lot of the original medicines used in the 17th century.
Returned to the same restaurant as we had used the night before as were so impressed and not disappointed either. Lovely place and very good ...
... br> After settling in we took a stroll to check it out and found we were only about 350 metres from the impressive Chateau in Bauge. after our stroll we had decided on a restaurant which was part of an Auberge de France hotel. It was excellent.
We had passed by Bauge a number of times over the years but as the road towards Le Man bypasses the centre we had never stopped.
So I have been in Le Mans for 3 weeks & 4 days, nearly a month. And been in Franceland for a month today!
One thing I wanted to say ages ago was about the French lifestyle...was that the wine and cheese and smoking is all truuuuuuue! But yeah, just cos before at the cricket day training with other teachers, they'd have wine in their breaks and after work..just like a little party or something haha!
