        ... I had the Tagliata do vitello con sale grosso e rosmarino, which was veal with coarse salt and rosemary. It was outstanding. Two glasses of wine and I am well on my way to becoming Italian. Prior to dinner starting we had Prosecco (Italian champagne and red blood oranges. It was very good (check out picture.)         We stopped first in Ravenna today to see its ceramics and the tomb of Dante. The ceramics were nice but having seen the Blue Mosque eand Hagia Sofia in Istanbul I wasn't too impressed.         ... We do not disagree. Unfortunately for us they were engaged in restorative work on the exterior front. The inside was pristine. The church is rich with paintings and frescoes. In fact Mike (aka Michelangelo) reviewed the ceiling and wall art before painting the Sistine Chapel. Bird is also especially impressed with the alternating black and white stone work.         ... and all the townsfolks help from the smallest child to the eldest locale. The floats are pulled by tractors to celebrate the regions farming roots. It is a fantastic community event , really lovely to see the laughter, smiles and joy on everyone's faces.
