... lost in, not a good idea with no water on board we thought.
We then went into the town. the main St Antoine market was colourful ,with everything in the Antilles in the way of fruit, vegetables and spices and their homemade Rhum concoctions! Stalls were also set up on the pavement with colourful Guadeloupian ladies laughing and enticing you to buy, but in a friendly way. Along with the fish stalls it all made for a bright ,colourful ...

... large seas and winds. an uncomfortable night and day but speed picked up..799 miles to go. Craig was brilliant at cheering us along by working out the time and mileage fractions left to go. By now we've looked more into Barbados and decided it's not yacht friendly and so many restrictions including papers pay in and out then only on anchor, no marina for repairs or spares.The wind shifts us North so decide on Guadeloupe. By the 21st..... HAPPY ...

It's my birthday, some would say its that everyday but today it is for real, presents of new swimming shorts and a pair of very cool expensive shades from Sal topped with a champagne breakfast Hmmmm cheep sparking wine that exploded over Sal breakfast.. luckily not mine .. :)

Up early again and we reef the sail and head out for Guadeloupe. At first sight sea and winds don't look too bad but a glance behind us shows the Island in blackness as storm creeps up. 10 mins later we are soaked and it's just like sailing in the Solent apart from it's not cold.
