... within reach! The exceptional guide gave a lengthy explanation to the group in French about the history of cocoa and the making of chocolate with samples to boot. He interspersed his French explanation with perfect English (leaned from his year in Australia) for Mum. We had to take home some of the locally made chocolate as it was some of the best we had tasted!

... that I could have breakfast, lunch and dinner on the beach as it was easy to clean me up by dunking me in the ocean!

Back on the beach, it was my job to watch the world go by - in between naps in my stroller that is! Watching the world go by turned out to be a very enjoyable task here on Terre-de-Haut. Unlike many places in the world today, most of the beachfront abodes where still owned by traditional fisherman.

Compared to other Caribbean islands that Mum and Dad have visited, Guadeloupe feels much more like being in France than being in the Caribbean. Guadeloupe is a archipelago of islands with the main islands being the large butterfly shaped island and four other smaller islands.

... 4.30am, we boarded our first flight to Miami. We had enough time here to walk the entire length of the airport to our second gate. Not hard you say, well no, not impossible but a very long walk. Long enough that they have an air train on offer to take you. Mum and Dad declared we could walk, and walk we did. ... Back to the ship for lunch, a swim and some more lounging in the sun. We were invited to the Captain's cocktail party which was my first opportunity to show off the new diamond.
