On last years trip we meet a gentleman in Lurcene who told us about a walk you could do along the side of a mountain outside Sion. We tried to find it last year but failed. This year we found it and it is today's challenge. We have breakfast at 8.00am which was the typical Swiss style contential breakfast but with fresh cooked eggs. All very nice. ... of beers and wines and take in the magnificent views. Dinner is at 7.30 so back to the room to get ready. Dinner is served outside on the verandah overlooking the Swiss Alps. It is a set 3 course menu which costs 56 franks each. We start with a salad with ricotta cheese. ... happy that I walked the full circuit, taking most of the high routes where there was an option, without using any other mode of transport. That worked well for me. It was not all a stroll in the park but I was happy that I didn't get blisters, hypothermia or lost. I definitely had as many exhausting, as exhilarating, moments.
