From Chamonix we entered Switzerland via a smaller mountain road and drove up the main valley of the Valais, which is surrounded with vineyards, mainly on the north side of the highway but often on both. What a day ! We drove 90mins to Lac Aiguebelette and had a wonderful day. By chance we were able to wander into the athletes area and cruised around all their tents. Just like a Sunday picnic, except, stationery bikes, kids paddling pools and rowing boats everywhere. We tracked down the Kiwi's and quickly took a photo and moved on. We watched the activity on the athlete's screen, went and saw the boats being weighed and really felt part of the action. ...

No luggage but rain on the first two runs over.
