... can't believe I actually got to experience it!

The first thing we saw when we got off the bus was a dog sledding team, I knew immediately that I would love it up there. The dogs were all so excited to get running and I was just holding myself back from going up and saying hi to all of them!

I spent the day snowshoeing around the mountains and got to see a few mountain ...

So back to my first time skiing...ever.

I did 4 runs today before my body told me I needed to stop. My first run down the bunny slopes was kinda awful (as expected for a newcomer). I couldn't stop, or turn so basically I did what I could to slow down and ended up wiping out hard many times.Thankfully I had Katy with me who is from Colorado who talked me through it and got my confidence back up. ... the crisp air. Nicky also had a go and again it climbed away but her couple of extra kilos of weight made what I thought was a signifiant difference to the take off run. This looked like a VERY weight critical machine too me. Now the Boys from Chapter 24 at Jandakot generally regard me as being the least competent aviator of the bunch, well actually the least technically qualified, but even I know that this machine only has so much power, the same lifting surface and the ...

      ... Christmas magic.

Aussois is a stunning town on the edge of a national park and we were not disappointed... except that there was absolutely no snow! The entire alps region was snowless -- this on the first and only time we would be spending Christmas in the Alps. We were constantly told how this has ...
