I feel a little bit lost as I'm very much ready to go out and do something and explore and adventure every evening, but because of our location, it's quite difficult to do without relying on someone here that has a car, which is only 2 people. We reached another very high mountain pass that took us from France into Italy. Switched from saying "bonjour" to everyone to "buongiorno" Stopped for lunch and were treated to some of ...

... by two men who, as it turned out, were interesting, entirely charming and completely sober (the lack of vomiting, embarrassing chat up lines, slurring, falling and fighting really helped with the whole interesting charm thing).

The First: a short, sturdy Irishman by the name of Rafferty; single dad who had lived in Germany for several years and recently committed to running a hugely popular salsa club for love-hunting free spirits.

      The Second: a very ...
