    We are in Louise Penny land. In fact, we have driven all over Louise Penny land. After checking out of our Montreal hotel we walked to the Musee des Beaux Arts and saw a Faberge exhibit featuring jewelry and the beautiful eggs he made for the Romanov family.     JC's birthday was on the Wednesday the 17th but we have been celebrating all week. It started on the 16th with a meal at home featuring his favourites, steak and Rissa's famous mushroom and Parmesan Risotto with a bottle of Cab/Sauvignon from BC.     Larissa always has Friday off so we usually plan a day out. The sun was out and it was the perfect time to take a drive to the country. We headed to the Eastern Townships for lunch.     This morning we headed off to Jacynthe and Gilles country house at Saint-Paul-de-l'lle-aux-noix on the shores of the Richelieu River. On the way there we stopped at a Costco store to do some shopping. We have had to travel to the other side of the world to undertake the Costco experience. For those of you who haven't had the opportunity to have this experience it is worth the trip.
