One morning i took a walk through the main streets of Dijon and did a little bit of shopping. I bought some mustard for my Dad and some gloves for me =)

Then onto a Salsa club with much dancing and knocking people out the way. A very naughty trouble maker.

The final club where Jamie and I managed to distroy over 30 glasses with a miss timed spin.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Hope everyone is having a great time eating turkey and watching football back home :). I'm in a country where we aren't subjected to the awful sport of football fortunately. Unfortunately they don't typically celebrate Thanksgiving either. Luckily I am reasonably close to one of my best friends from the states and we were able to celebrate turkey day in typical American fashion. This morning I travelled for 4 hours by train to ...

... access. It was designed to allow safe construction of the V2 bombs inside the dome, which could then be transported out to the firing area by a small railway.
It was a fascinating place, and to know that Hitler knew of, and possibly visited this site, was quite eerie. Inside was a V1 flying bomb, a V2 which was taken to the USA after the war to aid their rocket program then gifted back to the French, and an exhibition of photos and accounts of ...
... is one of the features of the area. There are dozens and dozens of small to medium sized producers, as opposed to the big international houses further north is Reims and Epernay. We called in, tasted, and bought a few bottles from producers such as Fourrier, Charles Clément and Cadel. These are really high-quality, medal-winning champagnes, and at around 11-13€ a bottle (ie generally under $20), what are you ...
Arsonval, Champagne-Ardenne, France graemehWe have stopped for Flunch in St. Dizier after 2 and a half hours and 90 miles of hell. Every gust of wind, corner or oncoming juggernaut drains your strength and hurts your muscles. But it's stopped raining now and the fields of sunflowers still look beautiful :-)
Saint-Dizier, Champagne-Ardenne, France tekknochicken... center of two small local producers too. The town and area is very beautiful, but to the direct south (Lorraine) is mostly sporadic farming of dairy cattle and cash crops. We ate a very nice dinner last night in town, so tonight its back to "sam-ichs" and liquid drinkable strawberry yogurt (which is actually amazing)...no compliants! The weather is still so hot we swear that its follwing us and we also keep finding Australians everywhere! We have a lot in common ...
Epernay, France kaylzJune 23-24, 2005 Hey everyone, the morning after the Louvre, June 23, Chris and I headed out to Verdun, a small town in central France. Verdun is a special town, because from the middle of 1916, for 300 constant days, Verdun was the sight of some of the bloodiest fighting the world has ever seen. we arrived in town around 1pm, and went to visit the tourist center. well, there we found out that the actual battlefield was about 10km away, and that there ...
