... view- first view of any land in a couple days. My watch was ending just as the rose-pink light of dawn started to light up the horizon. The picture doesn't quite capture the beauty of the moment. Sunrise coming up over the horizon shooting rays through openings in the clouds. Quite a bit different than a land-based sunrise. Brief 7 hour stay in Guadalupe- time for a ...

Got a free ride from locals, hiked around, borrowed snorkles on the beach and finished the day watching the world cup games with locals. Yeah, many of them started early when I was drinking coffee so they were in a good mood at this time of the day.
Night was coming, I walked to the furthest and prettiest beach on this site of ...

France Away From France #2

Back to the main island after this very nice unexpected festival detour (things are always better when unexpected right?). This had a bit of deja vu feeling, living the French expat life as I did in French Guyana. Same same but Caribbean island style. It really feels like back home, but in a Caribbean atmosphere, so far away. All these nice people are working in medicine (as many expats there) and they are sharing a ...
