... staff than patrons. Cost €10 to get in! The interior is like one of the palaces I’ve been too; plush seats; pull levers on the pokies. The tables are old-style with the croupiers using real rakes to literally rake the money in. Even the toilets are self-cleaning. The whole place is quite surreal. Not as big as I imagined, and I think it was quiet because u had to pay, whereas the casino at my hotel was always packed & free entry with ...

... the most beautiful boats in the world are in MonteCarlo...
Language is more interesting in france. If we try to do the simple tourist things then most people can work out what is going on but when we try something else eg. going to the doctor (sue has been sick) going to a chemist.. or finding a Laundamatt.. then the language thiig is a bit more animated....

Well, I am writing this entry from Switzerland. Sitting at the Geneva airport. My flight from Barcelona to Geneva (to connect onto a flight to Nice) was delayed and then delayed again which meant I missed my connecting flight. Was originally angry about this cause I have lost a day of travel time, but it has given me the opportunity to sort some photos and begin my Monte Carlo relax period. Was fortunate that there was a later flight with seats available and that ...
Monaco, Monaco travellingrossWe decide today we will sit and not do much. We go to the store and get a small package of bacon and 2 eggs and fresh bread from the bakery. This is a nice change from cereal.
After we clean up I work on the blog - they are changing the blog settings, after 8 months of doing it one way I now have to learn, figure out and find how to do it another way. I hope it will become ...
... also gives great advice about traveling in the region or all over Europe. She grew up in Germany but rarely speaks in her native language on an every day basis. She learned French in school and lived in France for a year after school to get better. She told me when she got here, like us, people would begin to speak English with her because she sounded foreign and they wanted to speed up the comprehension process. But she didn't even know English yet! She then learned ...
Antibes, Provence, France k1thomasI have arrived! Actually I arrived Sunday at 11am (that is 2am California time). All my flights went really well. I was worried about my Chicago plane switch but my plane got in 15 min early and I had just enough time to go to the bathroom, get dinner/lunch, fill up my water bottle and get to the gate. My 8 hour flight from Chicago to Frankfurt went by as quickly as 8 hours can and I tried to sleep (I probably got about 4 hours). At the Frankfurt ...
Antibes, Provence, France k1thomas... I had been there years ago as a school boy with my parents and Linda and I had taken our children there years ago, well things have changed now its packed with immigrants and cheap housing, we for the first time felt uncomfortable so moved to Nice. Just beautiful along the promenade warm, very clean sea, pebble beach, a great atmosphere, the best part of being on a bike is that we can squeeze in anywhere ...
Antibes, Provence, France 2bikers... Very much apart of the French Riviera style. The beach itself was qutie interesting as well. No sand, no dust, only pebbles, big rocks just about; made is fun to run on although it was getting to my knees after a bit. The next day we left early to go the Perfume Fragonard. That place was cool. We got to see how perfume and soap is made and by the end of it all I spent 17 Euros on a small bottle of all natural perfume called Diamonds=) LOVE ...
