Though we were disappointed, we enjoyed some pretty
delicious food here and our very fancy hotel that I was admittedly glad the
boys insisted to spring for in the end haha. We ate a ton of watermelon and
spent the evening chatting and watching…of course friends!...haha and it was a
great relaxing end, despite the lack of festival lol.
On to more and more exams later…and one week I was BACK on
the train and on ...
... departure tomorrow. This is great- supposedly- though it means I will be phone-less until I return from traveling next week…meaning it was CRUCIAL I have arrangements with:

... be!...well at least we got to go back to bed for a couple hours and then rose again about 8am to “enjoy” the rainy hike to the peak and make what- I will admit!- was A VERY CHALLENGING descent down about 7 miles straight of stairs!...if I NEVER SEE A STAIR AGAIN AFTER THIS YEAR ILL BE OK!
But after about 10 total hours of hiking- at the end of the second day I had another Chinese mountain notched in my belt and the 3 amigos were off to Yueyang, back in Hunan, for Dragon Boat festivities! ...
