The hiking in the karst-like hills is, in my opinion, better than zhanjiajie in
clarity and waaaaay more diverse with the rice terraces, etc. found there. I

... lake," one of the 2 levels of heaven on earth supposedly- up there with Suzhou..which was to be stop 2! Hangzhou is about a 45 minute ride from my school next year so pretty excited! The drive into Hangzhou was very beautiful I must say and soooo fascinating to see all the ponds full of bottles, though NOT for litter but for pearl fishing! Cool! Also quite mountainous from what I can tell J so though no Hengshan- all hope is not lost on the scenery of my next china-home.
