... the tunnel cost E 28.00 for a motorbike and E 42.00 for a car.
Arriving at Allevard, I was delighted to meet Christian and Suzanne, friends of Liz and owners of the Tour du Treuil. Lots of steep uphill today, finally reaching one of the highest points of the whole trip, the Col du Bonhomme

At one point Barbara thought she was being attacked by a bull, but after scrambling up a rock to escape it turned out to be a cow with horns in a frisky mood!

Views back down the valley have been stunning. Thankfully the weather has stayed sunny but cool (upper 60's?)- perfect for hiking. ...
