... the road, where I ordered a huge bowl packed full of goodies, and it was probably the most delicious thing I've ever eaten. Afterwards, I literally couldn't move. I had eaten way too much food but luckily all I had to do was sit in the car on the way home.
We passed the main avenue in town to be greeted by hundreds of people celebrating Carnaval in a closed off section of the street and it hasn't even started yet! Apparently Carnaval here in BH is going to be ...
... and gave us some more people to hang out with. I also met another one of Daniels friends, Leticia so we had a good group of people there :)
After meeting a lot of people, we decided to go to Rei do Pastel for a late night feed before going home. Late night feed meant we finished eating at 4am. Rei do Pastel, while not being the most healthy thing to eat, surely tackles the late night hunger!
... and poles in addition to more random damage through the city.
Deborah picked me up for trivia but because of the chaos from the storm, the roads were destroyed and blocked by a number of trees, and traffic was moving very slow. After a few changes in route, and a number of detours, we finally made it. A little late but still in time for the trivia to start... This is Brasil remember, nothing starts on time.

It was actually really good. And very unexpected. And then I soon realised it was part of the Christmas celebrations that the city had been putting on. This city knows how to party.
... I also met a pretty well respected police man here, who went to the favela to buy drugs during the middle of the day. Only in Brazil.
It was a really fun day. There were drum circles and people dancing around, people with slack lines, people playing guitars, people playing games, people dancing around and "expressing themselves" obviously on drugs.
