... and got some fresh hot waffles, shaped like the Cathedral with melted chocolate on, and some delicious Stollen. It was a one hour drive to Vaals / Holland. A cute little town. We had dinner at Mo'ment, an interesting little resturant. Duck was the speciality. Matt had huge ribs and H a vegetarian lasagna. Hotel Kasteel Bloemendal Vaals was where we stayed and it was lovely. 18C restored manor house, and we were in the renovated wing.

As we also wanted to visit the museum nearby we left the market but decided to return before they closed at 6pm so we could have bratwurst and beet for dinner - ...
Sad to leave this campsite by the river. Everything has a artiste's touch, more like a private home than a campsite. Made me feel quite guilty leaving skid marks in the grass, but happy we managed to get onto the campsite roadway without needing a tow. More ups/downs/bends as we headed towards the Belgian border, with wee hamlets every mile or so. As soon as ...
