... to glance in their direction and they are over. I love the way that serving alcohol from cafes is no big deal. Picture folks at the Bean Tree, at 10am, having a glass of beer or wine; so civilized. Although the Euro exchange rate is knocking me around a little, comparatively, food and drinks etc are quite cheap. We do live in the best country on the planet, but, we pay for it.

I tour the sanctuary and courtyard before making my way next door to the bell tower. I can’t go in, but as I walk up to it I hear a choir practicing inside. I feel so small standing in front of this giant building that has stood for more than 1600 years.

... now? The Elves Market had the little gnomes all over the place. Little wooden houses that look like their homes at the bases of light poles to hide lighting and hardware. There were gnomes on the roof of one hut that was a ski hut with a moving ski lift. It was so charming with all the lights, cut pine trees and beautiful crafts and food they presented.
