... up trucks filed with buckets of water and people throwing from the back at the people on the pavement. People were on the back of motorbikes with super soakers. There were people with hoses and I was greeted warmly with a group with pink and white body paint.

I survived the onslaught and headed back to the hotel to get re-enforcements. The response was less than enthusiastic. Anyone would think I'd suggested going to the dentist ...

In lanta our daily routine consisted of beach, sunset, bar and a significant lack of excerise. There was a watersports shop by the beach that offered paddle boarding so we decided to give it a try. There was a few other people who came and went and then came back, but they didn't seem interesting, and Thai Bob came and sat with us for a bit, which was funny because he walked around all the other beds and then came and sat by us... He's clearly our dog now. I didn't see him ...

    Our Last Stop In Thailand

... 11am and luckily the rain held off for most of the journey. It was still warm and the sun was starting to break through.

The National Park had an admission of 200 Baht and we was given a map to explore. It was extremely quiet there. We walked out to the old lighthouse on the cliff edge to take a look. It was old and rusty. From there we decided to do the "2 hour trek". Or or they so it was. It took us ...
