    ... for over an hour and a half and saw no one. not a soul. We did learn that the supermarket opens at 8am the next morning. We also learned that General de Gaul visited the church in Erstein to attend midnight mass Christmas Eve 1944.

    ... the awning dried out. Because of the poor weather at Interlaken we’d had to put it in the car wet. The climate in Interlaken was forecast showery for the next TEN days according to a newly arrived camper who was booked for 2 weeks! (Note to self, don’t book anywhere for too long a spell in case the weather is bad) Once it was dry we packed it away, ready for the next use.
