I meet a lot of people, and ate lot of interesting food, and got some cool new toys. Can we do this Christmas thing every week?
After 20 km of rural highway to reach the coast, the day quickly turned bad. You could feel the rain coming and it did. But I also faced a strong headwind for a while. Anyway, this park had a giant animatronic elephant ride. It had a carrousel with steam punk type characters. It looked really cool, but it was just too late to do without losing a day and I am feeling some time pressure.
After Nantes, I found an quiet open field to camp in. The night felt like Georgia, warm and humid, and was interrupted several times by noises from some animal burrowing and by far off hunters' shotgun ...
Saint Michel Chef Chef is a tranquil sea side town. My first Bastille Day (July 14) was spend here.
By the way, somebody should have told me sea water doesn't taste good before I swallowed a mouthful.
... and took photos. Then we cycled on to the bridge but nothing much there so cycled back to Barbatre for a coffee. Then we went to Barbatre's local beach, the Plage L’Ocean for a while.
Cycled home for a late lunch and started to pack ready for our departure tomorrow. Did a route and then took off on our cycles for the last time to the restaurant in the village. Very pleasant service once again and we bought some bags ...
