At one place there was a huge wooden fireplace surround leaning up against a wall. Our guide commented that it hadn't been there that morning and it ...

... the alley as far as possible and then shuttle all of the baggage out in the pouring rain. By the time we were loaded and had returned the key to the landlord next door, we were all completely soaked. The downpour, gusty wind and fog continued through our drive north from Provence. Luckily it cleared up a bit before we reached our first stop.
