    ... hand went to the Red Wine & Chocolate Tasting. Who knew they paired so nicely together. We were educated by our pastry chef regarding the chocolates and how he produced them. Shiraz wine was predominant in the wines as this is the primary grape grown in the region. Crossed the walking bridge to Tain L'Hermitage to visit Valhrohna Chocolate.     ... old town & had seen a restaurant called Chez Grande Mere recommended on TripAdvisor but have real trouble finding it but when we finally do my 7hr slow cooked lamb was delicious as they had said but Peter wasn't so happy with his chicken - and yes it did taste stale. A real roundabout route via TomTom back to the hotel , not a great nights sleep with the traffic noise plus eating too much food too ...

    ... on the opposite bank with a bridge a bit further along - that means we've done a nice circular route of quite a few extra kms! Really annoying having to stop for so many traffic lights along the suburbs until we are further out of the city but then it gets steep. Must be an expensive area as there are so many huge gates with massive houses behind but we can't see any sign of the elusive Voie Verte. Stop in Givors where the market was just closing at 12 ...

    We started with a walking tour of Viviers, a village of about 5000 people. Narrow streets, old buildings, the church dating back to the 14(?) century. The walk spiralled up to the cathedral, which is the smallest one in France. Here, we were treated to an organ recital in the cathedral-what beautiful acoustics!
