The bells of the nearby church chimed every half hour so unfortunately very little sleep was had that night.

Saturday 5 September and it was time to walk down to the base station and pick up our Crusader 28 and after an hour tuition on boating, we set ...

... locks ... and the bikes that rode by. We'd brought changes of clothes so, after lunch, we rented bicycles and rode about 25 miles along the canal. We passed a quaint bar and grill that was only accessible by the trail we were on ... We kept going but it kept calling to us, so we had to turn around and have a leisurely drink! The ride brought many memories for Rosemarie. Part of the canal was very much like the California Delta, with boats lining ...
