Well here we are back in beautiful Switzerland, this time in Geneva. They still have their own funny coloured money, they still have strange powerpoints, it is still very expensive but this time they are all French. Now that I have got the hang of Italian I have now got to change my Si's back into Oui's and my Grazia's back into Merci's.

Our home for a couple of days is our first AirBNB rental which is great, although just a ...

My stay in Geneva has been a wonderful repose for me and very necessary before my next big adventure where I know I will be seeing lots of sights. In addition to relaxing and getting a lot of work done, I did manage to get out and about a bit and even make some lovely friends.

... to Geneva (15 mins) and the fact that it seemed to be offering an authentic chateau experience at a price cheaper than a Geneva city hotel. Well it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. It was about 9pm when we arrived. The Chateau was lit up beautifully but we still had no idea of the beauty of our surrounds until morning. Our room was impeccable. High ceilings with rose chintz wallpaper and curtains. We very quickly made a mess of it. Our hostess advised us that ...

... the German speaking bit! So we get a pic, with the peak of the Matterhorn, somewhere up there, in the cloud that, "will move in a minute". Some of the surrounding peaks are free of cloud, so I went to take a photo and the batteries are D.E.D! Find a shop open in Zermatt between 12 and 14:30? Not on your life, it's lunch time! We went back down the hill.
The fog that we'd eluded us then came in to plague us again! We had some really nice views while driving in and ...
