... from a train worker ...love Italians ....and no ...not taking him home !! Oh Roma ...yep feelin the love !! Arrive hot and sweaty from my day of travels and decide to contact ol mate Bruno and have a catch up with him ...mad dash in a taxi to the pantheon ...bouncing over the cobblestones of Roma ... Yah he's home ...m able to have a shower and freshen up for my night run to Sicily ...quick dinner at Pietros ...perfect pesce !! And loads ...

A day spent in the playground of the rich and famous! The beautiful people were in Antibes - and then there was us! A short train ride to the town and we were walking through the land of the mega rich with a penchant for large ego boosting, wealth displaying 'yachts' tied up along the waterfront. Well it was a long day but even a longer story on why it took 12 hours to get from Paris to Nice on the fast TVG train the answer is a mud slide on the tracks and it did damage to the electoral system the tour director had to get the driver of the coach bus that was going to pick us up at the train station in Nice had to come to the French navy seaport town of Toulon to get us it took another two ...

... and waited out the clouds. Our foccacia lunch (3 types in one sitting!) was pretty delicious, and we headed to the beach to lay out in the shade.
The next two hours brought the sun out a few times, and I took my third 'beach nap' of the trip. Also, it was a delightful chance to observe the European beach tourist in his natural habitat. The men are especially amusing. There is this quick change that ...
