... your tickets to Toulouse so by the time we checked into the hostel it had started to get a bit dreary. We decided we'd go anyway, and all got our bathers and headed to just check out the beach. As soon as we left it started raining heavily, so we retreated to an incredibly expensive cafe where we all had terrible coffee. ... views through blind determination, a bit like trying to get to the front of a live concert in a stadium. The first lap didn't even get half way through before the first crash. This brought out the safety car and let the excitement simmer down as they all followed obediently around for 3 or 4 laps while they cleared the wreckage.

... with some old French men playing. I took a couple of photos, then one of the men offered to take our photo and next thing we knew we had a photo with the “Random Old Guy”. We ended up cycling the length of the promenade both ways and then just returned the bikes to the stand.

For dinner I had Chinese and shared a bottle of red. In there common room of the hostel, Tom another Aussie based in London was recruited for the trip to Eze and Monte Carlo ...

... Lots of different plants throughout Nice. Early on the rich people all bought gardeners with them...and these gardeners experimented with different plants to see what would grow. As it turned out, everything grew....hence the variety. Nice has 300 days of sunshine a year...and they have plenty of water as well. And the beach! And The Promenade ! Next up into the mountains to St Paul...an old walled town....very old. There were frequent pirate ...
