Le Domaine D''Orvault - Chateaux & Hotels De France

So decided to stay a second day in Nantes....hotel was in fab location, but loads of bars right outside the hotel, thank goodness for double glazed windows!

Went to the local saturday market this morning, geez, i love the french markets. took us about 20 mins walking around just to figure out what to eat.

Off to see the chateau this afternoon then maybe to a soccer game (Nantes vs. Nimes) this evening.

Ok, so we arrived in Nantes....bit of a nightmare to park, but all good. Found a very centrally located budget hotel (1 star) - cheap and cheerful. We had booked the small room, but as that turned out to be on the fifth floor, we opted for the luxury room (an additional 4 euros a night) on the first floor. Is quite big, with ensuite bathroom. Well, actually, its more like the room is ensuite to the bathroom as when u open the door to the room u walk right into the ...

Right, so its time for some warmer times, so we are heading south today. I think we could end up in Nantes, but not really sure yet.....the south of France is pushing 80 degrees still so we need to get down there......Jason seemed to have lost the knack of the trunk packing, probably since we spent 2 nights in the same place. His french is funny, he tried to order the bill the other night and ended up with a beer. Ok, wait, maybe that had nothing to do with his french ...

... after tearing that apart we had some wonderful clips to work with. Sewing them together with some spare nylon cord made a great synch strap for the bag.

Our compression bags are also showing some wear. Brain is so good as compressing them as tight as possible that the material is beginning to rip. This is easily repaired with some more nylon chord as well. Hopefully this will last us for a little while longer!

... Road, and it was playing in English with French subtitles. It was actually a really good movie. The ending was kind of sad and all, but it was good. After that we grabbed a drink then went home. Then when we were walking to the movies, I passed by him and kind of smiled. I knew he was shy so I didn't want to embarrass him. ... the kids to shut up. Then my little ones. They are my saviors. Honestly, if I didn't have those little ones to comfort me on my rough days, I would absolutely hate this job. These kids make it worth it. And they are such fast learners too. I can't believe how much they know already. After school I went home as usual and watched a movie and read my books and slept.
