What to do on a rainy day

... a glimpse of the ski hill at Mont St Anne through the slanting rain, and time for a bathroom break. The fall colors were shrouded in the foggy mist, as if we were moving through an impressionist painting. The Mercedes zoomed on through winding back roads and came down a very steep hill to the quaint town of Baie-St-Paul. It was probably busy and bustling on the past autumn weekend but on this rainy day ...

... we pulled off to the side of the road where we found a closed tourist center. I popped a couple Claritin's and we went for a little hike around the area because allergies sure as hell wont ruin the first day of our trip. I think in high season we would have paid for what we did that day. Instead we jumped a few flimsy fences and enjoyed walking a few short trails that led to under ...

... The temperature did not increase, even though the sun did try to peak out on occasion. All in all, this was one of the toughest riding days I have had in a while. And the fact that Bill made a turn that I failed to see and we were lost from each other for about three hours and both were worried that the other had come to a bad end. We traveled down the St. Lawrence and saw the Montmorency Falls on the way. We saw our first marine mammal, a harbor seal today with hopes of many more tomorrow. We saw several large ships and a ferry but not many other boats. We arrived here about 4:45 PM. It's a small marina with rock breakwaters. We had a quick rain shower after we arrive with a ...

... Luckily it was less than the 2 last days. Arrived in Baie St-Paul under a dark sky again, but not much rain hit me! Discovered that it starts to hurt a bit in your face when going over 60km/h, that's why a bike has breaks I guess. Found a nice little motel with small room (see pic). Has all I need a shower and a bed. Now it's time for a little walk to the village centre and find some food for the evening and tomorrow morning.
