... but nowhere as dramatic or as satisfying as most I did
    in Switzerland.

    My hotel is
right in the centre of Megeve right on the motor vehicle free pedestrian walkway.
After a good soak in a hot bath I had a couple of beers sitting out the front
of the hotel right beside the walkway. Helen and John had warned me that you

We sat next to a French woman who tried very hard to use her limited English, which was endearing but made for a very slow tortured conversation. I ended up going to get my smart phone which had a translation app (very handy!).

Lots of steep uphill today, finally reaching one of the highest points of the whole trip, the Col du Bonhomme

At one point Barbara thought she was being attacked by a bull, but after scrambling up a rock to escape it turned out to be a cow with horns in a frisky mood!

Views back down the valley have been stunning. Thankfully the weather has stayed sunny but cool (upper 60's?)- perfect for hiking. ...
