... wigs have also kipped there from time to time leaving major works of art and lots of gold and stuff there for the privelege – it’s very cool. We’re not disappointed!

There’s only so much oohh-ing and ahh-ing and looking at old stuff that you can do in one morning, so after a walk around the chateaux we set off for Cognac with a pit stop at Chatellerault for a froggy lunch of Croque Monsieur in the lovely French sunshine.
